Time line- Houses


Students  understood how homes have changed over a period of time through the timeline on houses. They could easily differentiate between old & modern houses & explain the points of differences like building materials etc.




Making of houses with different shape


Students assembled different 2D shapes to make different types of houses like Eco friendly house, houseboat, hut, flats & many more.They integrated maths with their unit houses. They recognised the different shapes & the appropriate placement to make a house. 



Field visit to Chawla Classic


In this unit an inquiry generated by  the class      " How a factory looks like?".  To make them understand ,  we visited to the Chawla Classic. They visited different sections of the factory like cutting, sewing &  packaging departments  . They were very excited to see the whole process of making uniforms.




Experiment on desert habitat


Hands on activity to understand the habitat of desert. They comprehended the concept by doing an experiment why there is less water in the desert. Through this their research skills were develop.


Rock Spot adventures day camp



Children enjoyed a lot during Rock spot adventures day camp organized in the school. The activities were appropriate to their age. Campers challenged both physically & mentally. 





Nomadic dance


As IB believes in transdisiplinary approach. Students learnt the nomadic dance form in this unit " Where we are in place & time". They comprehended the concept that nomads don't have their houses. They are moving from one place to other place.
